Rising at 5,895 meters tall, it’s the tallest freestanding mountain on Earth, which basically means it’s not part of a mountain range—it just shoots straight up from the plains like it owns the place.

There are two main seasons for climbing Kilimanjaro:

• January to March: Fewer crowds, colder temps, and a solid chance of snow at the summit (because what’s a mountain without snow?).
• June to October: Warmer, drier, and popular—Europeans and Americans love this window, so expect company on the trail.

No season is perfect, but each one has its charm. Want epic photos with frosted peaks? Go early in the year. Prefer sun and social vibes? Aim for summer.

Which Route Should You Choose?

We offer multiple routes to suit different styles, paces, and levels of stubbornness:

• Lemosho Route – Scenic, quiet, great for acclimatization.
• Machame Route – Popular and dramatic, often called the “Whiskey Route” (for good reason).
• Rongai Route – Comes in from the north, drier, quieter.
• Marangu Route – The only one with hut accommodation (a.k.a. no tents if you’re not the camping type).

Whichever you choose, they’re all designed to maximize success. Our 95% summit rate isn’t just a flex—it’s the result of experienced guides, great gear, and pacing that respects your lungs.
